    The exercise requires you to have a working mircrophone connected to your  computer.  Try doing this if possible.  If you cannot record with your computer, do the writing part on paper and practice the oral part.  I'll let you do the oral exercise in class.

1. The name of the food items we circled before.

2. The proper way to say how much something costs, i.e. measure word, money units, correct word order.

3. The handouts I gave you this semester.

The homework requires you to type in Chinese, so you need to have some Chinese input method installed on your computer.

You can either use Microsoft's Chinese IME:  read instruction.
(Read #11~#14 for inputting traditional Chinese.)

Another choice is Google Pinyin.  I've written some instructions for this:  read instruction.

The homework due 02/20 is similar to that for last time--the handout on IQ Chinese Lesson 5.

  1. Write down the Pinyins for every sentence.

  2. Memorize the sentences.  (This should be easy for you!)

  3. Type the sentences in IQ Chinese or MS Word using Chinese input method.

  4. Study the notes on the handout.

  5. Do the drills in IQ Chinese.

2. Listen to the chanting and memorize the 4 sentences.

3. Type the 4 sentence in IQ Chinese or other software; and send me a screen shot or print it out.
