今天舉行查字典比賽，每個同學都很認真地寫，我覺得大家都很棒，比去年進步了，值得嘉獎！


作業：

1. 抄寫第三課 課文。
2. 造句：“故意”“任何”“其實”“肯”“因此”
3. 準備quiz: 課本(pp.28-31); Workbook(3-1,3-2)。
包括 matching, fill in the blanks, re-organize sentences, 數字的讀法（ex. 123,456.78), “把"字句 改成 "被"字句 （ex. Workbook p.46).

這個星期有點忙，所以這麼晚才來更新。

先說作業：
1. 3-3
2. 抄句子：from Workbook， pp. 37, 38, 41(下半頁的句子，共16句）；抄句子，並寫出英文意思。
3. 練習 查字典。

11月8日是“查字典”比賽的日子，因為上課時間有限，大家也已經都了解查字典的方法，所以我決定不要用寶貴的上課時間練習，只有發handout 給同學帶回家做。
We'll have a "Dictionary-Checking Contest" on Nov. 8. Since everyone has learned the techniques of using a Chinese dictionary, I gave handouts for students to practice at home instead of using our valuable class time to do the exercise.


我們班的比賽是排在第二節課，比賽之前我會跟大家復習幾個重點。基本上這次的題目比去年容易，所以同學們不要太緊張，畢竟這只是一次比賽，最重要的是你是不是真的學會了，以後是不是能把這個技巧用在自己的學習上，提升自己的中文能力。比賽時，只要“全力以赴，Do your best." 至於是否得名，先不要想太多。
Our contest is scheduled in the second period, so we'll have time to review some contest tips. Don't be nervous. The questions are easier than those of last year. This is only ONE contest after all. What really matters is that you know how to look up Chinese characters in a dictionary and how to use the skill to improve your overall Chinese language proficiency. Don't think about winning during the contest. Just do your best.

3. 抄寫句子：pp.30,31，“被，應該，答應，主意，主要”，各抄兩句。
4. 讀“說故事”。
5. 下次上課有Quiz：第三課的生字（注音和部首），詞語（meaning）。

* 下次上課剛好是Halloween 過後，大家可以穿 Halloween costume 來上課，我會帶照相機來照相。

期中考快到了

下個星期就是期中考了，考試範圍只有第一和第二課，雖說不算多，但有幾位同學對一些詞語的意義和用法，還是不能完全掌握，要多用功才行哦。
Mid-term exam will be held on next Saturday. The test will focus on Lesson One and Two. The study-load really isn't too bad, but some students still have difficulty in mastering the usage of some phrases. Please study a bit harder.

期中考內容包含：

1. 填空：看注音填國字
Fill in the blank: write Chinese characters for the zhuyin provided.

2. 改錯：圈出錯字並訂正
Correction: Circle the wrong character and write the right one.

3. 同義詞
Synonym

4. 圈選對的詞語
Circle the right phrase.

5. 填空：選出正確詞語，並填入空格
Fill in the blank: Pick the right phrase from the "phrase bank" and write it down in the blank.
