2. Textbook, p.8: 生字一次；
                     p.10: 生字一次，詞語一次+ English.
    (Since I have your Red Bood, write those on a piece of paper. Put it in the folder too.)
3. Quiz--write a note （便條）.   Matching / circle the right phrase.
4. Remember to bring a notebook to class.
5. Give the two handouts to your parents and return the Student Information form to me Saturday.

2010-05-15 Homework & Reminder

For this week, please complete the "book project" we started last Saturday.

Write the following sentences, filling the blanks, one on each page.  Decorate your little book with your own drawings.

Cover: [your name] 的書

Page 1：今天是 [   ] 月 [   ] 日 星期 [   ]。

              (Fill in the blanks, using last Saturday's date.)

Page 2：我住在明州。

Page 3：我喜歡吃 [        ]。
               (You can write down more than one item.)

Page 4：我會 [ sports ]。
               (Check the handout to find the Chinese for the sport you like.)

Page 5：我早上 [     ] 點起床。
               (起床 qi3 chuang2:  wake up, get up)

Page 6：我會說中文。

2010-05-08 Term Project

For your term project:

1. Complete your essay, and write/type it on paper, using as many Chinese characters as you can.

2. Memorize and make an oral presentation in class. 

3. I'll video tape your presentation if you want to.  Bring a flash drive to class so that I can give you a copy of your video.

For this week, please do the following:

3. Finish draft of the essay on "Self introduction" (or other topic of your choice).

2010-04-24 Homework--Making sentences

For this week's assignment, complete #4 of the handout titled "2010.04.17-IQChinese Lesson 8."


A. Sentence pattern:

    你 什麼時候 要 V？  (When are you going to V?)
    ex. 你什麼時候要睡覺？  (When are you going to sleep?)

B. Terms to use: 吃飯 / 洗澡 / 做功課 / 彈鋼琴 / 回家 / 刷牙 /


==>  Plug the phrases into the sentence pattern and make 6 sentences.   WRITE (not type) the sentences and their English translations on paper.

==>  Read out the sentences loud, three times each.

Term Project:

For your term project, write a self-introduction essay (or if you like, pick up another topic).  Review the sentence patterns and words you've learned, and try to use as many different words/patterns as you can.  Please start your draft now.  I'll review your draft with you on 05/08.  On 05/15, you will make an oral presentation on the essay.  (It's ok to type.)
